Be a Mentor

IMG_0075Lead Guild connects mentors from Technology careers to students in the Kentuckiana area.

In the K-12 space, mentors can help by giving classroom presentations, leading hands-on workshops, or participating in a mentor fair/career day event.

Lead Guild accepts requests from schools and after-school organizations and then contacts mentors who are good matches for each request. From there, Lead Guild takes care of scheduling and getting feedback from the attendees.

If public speaking isn’t your strong suit, the folks at Lead Guild can help you with presentation skills and slideshow/classroom materials.

College students can request a 1:1 mentor match. Mentoring can be done by email, phone, or whatever means is most convenient and comfortable for the participants.

Becoming a mentor is a simple process.

  1. Apply at www.leadguild.org by filling out the short survey below
  2. Attend an interview with the Lead Guild board
  3. Respond to requests for scheduling
  4. Provide feedback after your mentoring events

Please note, some locations may require mentors to submit information for a criminal background check. Participation in the Lead Guild Mentor Network may be affected by the results of this inquiry.
